Kristine Raymond loves to read and that naturally transformed into a love of writing. She has always been a fan of the Old West and lived in Arizona for several years, where she was able to appreciate the beauty and history of the region.
She has released three books in the Hidden Springs series and is currently working on a contemporary novel. When she is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and furry family, and catching up on her backlog of books to read.
Knowing that it was brazen and highly improper, she rose up on her tiptoes and brushed her lips against his. He stiffened but didn’t pull away then he placed his hands on her waist and pulled her closer. She felt a thrill run through her as her body made contact with his. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she felt his lips begin to move on hers. Tiny shivers danced their way down her spine and she felt a now familiar warmth spread through her limbs. The whinny of a horse startled them and they broke apart, Abby blushing furiously and Simon unable to look anywhere but at the floor. Only a moment ago it had seemed like they were the only two people in the world but now Abby could hear the metallic clang as Lars shaped a horseshoe with his hammer and the voices of townspeople as they walked past the shop.
They both started to laugh and then Abby’s breath caught in her throat when Boots stepped closer and kissed her. The moment he made contact her heart started pounding in her chest and she felt light-headed. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she leaned into him, feeling the warmth of his body against hers. He brushed his lips lightly over hers then gently ran his tongue across her bottom lip. Abby had never before felt the sensations that were now coursing through her body and she moaned against his mouth. He lowered one hand to her waist and pulled her tightly against him while running his fingers through her hair with the other, marveling at its softness. He nipped lightly at her lip and she gasped, giving him the opportunity to slide his tongue into her mouth. She felt like she was on fire and that heat centered itself at her very core. An unfamiliar wetness spread between her legs and she pushed him away, suddenly embarrassed. They both stood there, panting heavily, unable to speak.
